Please<a href="http://visitor.r20.constantcontact.com/d.jsp?llr=k6xiyciab&p=oi&m=1108194123690" target="_blank"> sign up for our e-newsletter</a> to be alerted when the grant program will be reinstated. </span></P> <P>&nbsp; </P> <P><span class="focusHeaderNoPaddingTop">Land Transaction Grants</span><br> <br> PREP is now accepting applications for 2012 Piscataqua Region Land Protection Transaction Grants. </P> <p>PREP is offering matching grants of up to $4,000 per project to assist with transaction costs for permanent land protection projects (conservation easements, full fee acquisitions, donations) within the Piscataqua Region coastal watershed area (coastal New Hampshire and part of Southern Maine). &nbsp; </p> <p>Grants can be awarded to either qualified nonprofit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) conservation organizations or units of government. In this program, PREP will hire Technical Assistance Providers (TAPs) to work with communities on natural resource topics of mutual interest to the community and the PREP. TAPs are organizations and firms with expertise in natural resource protection issues and activities. Communities interested in receiving customized assistance from qualified professionals must submit an application to PREP. The program funds Technical Assistance Providers ("TAPs") to work with communities on projects related to land conservation planning, stormwater management, and buffer and wetlands protection. PREP will select TAPs through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Interested organizations and firms with experience working with Maine and\or New Hampshire communities on natural resource protection planning efforts are encouraged to respond to this RFQ. TAPs previously selected for CTAP must reapply to this RFQ.
